INGREDIENTS:
- 24‐Ounces of your Favorite Marinara Sauce
- 1‐Pound Turkey Italian Sausage
- 1‐Pound Dried, Penne Pasta
- 2‐Cups Chicken Broth
- 1‐TBSP Italian Seasoning
- Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Whipping Cream (to taste)
- Instant Pot®
DIRECTIONS:
- Using the sauté button on your Instant Pot®, cook sausage until no pink remains.
- Turn off pot.
- Spread cooked sausage evenly over the bottom of the pot.
- Pour the dry pasta over the sausage.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over pasta.
- Pour marinara over pasta.
- Pour broth over marinara. DO NOT STIR!!
- Lock Instant Pot® lid into place. Using the manual button, set Instant Pot® to 6 minutes on High Pressure setting, bringing Instant Pot® to full pressure.
- When timer sounds, perform a Quick Pressure release to remove all pressure from the pot.
- Remove Instant Pot® lid; stir in desired amount of whipping cream to make pasta creamy, incorporating all ingredients in the pot.
Notes:
Serve pasta at once, topped with Parmesan.
(This can be refrigerated or frozen and reheated if you don’t eat it all, just add a small amount of broth when reheating).
Can this be made without an Instant Pot®? Sure, but it just takes longer.
